  Rittenhouse Hardware has consistently (for years!) had the best customer service of any store I have been to in Philadelphia. I don't know what they do to find their employees, but every single one I have ever interacted with has been knowledgeable, helpful, and generally pleasant. And they get serious bonus points for knowing how to not be over-helpful, too. Also, in spite of the small size, they've had pretty much everything I've ever gone there to look for, and the prices are very reasonable for the prime location. The hours are quite generous, too. I would recommend this place to anyone with hardware needs.
